SEO isn’t a 3-Month Sprint. It’s a Long-Term Strategy.

The Common Misconception

Are you one of those people who thinks you could successfully implement SEO strategy in three months or less? If so, I’m going to show you today why that’s highly inaccurate.

Welcome to today’s episode of What’s the Friction? Now I’m going to share a graph with you. And this graph shows three things. It shows when a website has no strategic SEO, when a website begins to implement SEO, and when a website stops implementing strategic SEO.

What the Data Really Shows

Do you see what happens here? You can see all of this growth and impressions and clicks. When quality SEO was implemented. And you can see that growth.

And you can also see when they decided to stop investing in SEO, their impressions dropped dramatically by the thousands. This business just wasted a whole lot of money that they spent getting everything geared up and doing SEO and stopping it.

Why SEO Must Be Ongoing

Because SEO is an ongoing process that requires constant effort to be successful. And this is because search engines constantly evolve. Content always needs refreshing because nothing stays the same.

And competition is dynamic. New competitors come into the landscape. Your current competitors change and evolve. So these are all things that are important for you to know as you think about how you’re going to execute SEO.

The Key Takeaway

And today’s lesson is you aren’t going to execute it in three months or less. To learn more about how to remove digital marketing friction and grow your business, follow us here.
